The Porsche 992.2 Turbo S deserves an upgrade plan built around the complete car. Wheel fitment, tyre choice and ride height work together, while an exhaust upgrade needs a system developed specifically for this generation.
For owners planning their first changes, our starting point is a coordinated combination of forged wheels, matched tyres and optional H&R lowering springs. BBS offers a confirmed FI-R EVO application, while BC Forged and HRE provide custom configuration routes. Dedicated iPE and Akrapovič exhaust systems remain future additions to the plan while development continues.
This guide explains what you can configure now, what remains in development and how to build a package around your priorities.

Porsche 992.2 Turbo S Upgrade Options at a Glance
The distinction between a confirmed application, a custom configuration and a product in development matters when planning your build. A defined fitment does not automatically mean immediate stock, and a development programme does not establish a delivery date.
| Upgrade | Current position | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| BBS FI-R EVO | Confirmed 20/21-inch centerlock application | Select a finish and request current availability |
| BC Forged | Custom wheel configuration | Define the design, dimensions, finish and tyre package |
| HRE | Custom wheel configuration | Confirm the chosen construction and vehicle specification |
| H&R lowering springs | Applications identified for PASM equipment codes 1BV and 1BH | Match the spring kit to the factory suspension |
| KW suspension | In development according to our current supplier information | Request the latest application status |
| iPE exhaust | In development according to our current supplier information | Discuss your requirements for a future system |
| Akrapovič exhaust | In development according to our current supplier information | Request the latest model-specific information |
This guide focuses specifically on the 992.2 Turbo S. Applications for an earlier Turbo S or another 992.2 variant should be checked separately.
Forged Wheels: Choose the Design and the Configuration Together
Wheels offer considerable scope to personalise the Turbo S. The right choice combines the appearance you want with suitable dimensions, centerlock mounting and clearance for the car's brake package.
Start by choosing between three directions:
- Original-size: retain the 20-inch front and 21-inch rear proportions.
- OEM+: retain those diameters while tailoring widths and offsets for a fuller stance.
- 21/22-inch: explore a larger custom configuration with a matched tyre package.
BC Forged: Our Starting Point for a Bespoke Wheel Package
BC Forged is a central part of our custom wheel offering. Made-to-order dimensions and finishes let us develop the set around your preferred appearance, tyre choice and planned ride height.
Two featured designs give you distinct directions:
- BC Forged AF55: a monoblock option for a custom setup.
- BC Forged MLE81: a two-piece modular design with a step lip and classic motorsport character.
These are starting points within the wider range. If you prefer another BC Forged design, we can discuss how it can be configured for your project.
For an OEM+ package, custom widths and offsets allow the intended wheel position to be built into the specification without relying on spacers. The final dimensions also account for brake clearance, load requirements and suspension movement.

BBS FI-R EVO: A Confirmed Application
The BBS FI-R EVO provides a defined centerlock option for the 992.2 Turbo S: 9.5 × 20-inch ET44 front and 12 × 21-inch ET60 rear.
It is a useful starting point if you want to retain the original wheel diameters and choose from a confirmed BBS application. We can build the tyre selection and optional lowering around this set.

HRE: An Alternative Custom Design Direction
HRE provides another bespoke route. Our featured 305 design brings a classic five-spoke appearance to the selection, with the current FMR-X construction considered as part of the proposal.
The final order specifies the construction, centerlock application, dimensions and finish. This makes it possible to compare a defined HRE proposal with your preferred BC Forged or BBS option.

Choose Tyres as Part of the Wheel Package
Tyre selection should happen alongside the wheel specification. The suitable combination depends on wheel width, diameter, load and speed requirements, as well as how you use the car.
For a custom 21/22-inch setup, we assess tyre profiles and the relationship between front and rear rolling circumference before finalising the wheels. Increasing wheel diameter does not mean increasing the overall tyre diameter by the same amount.
If you want to retain your current tyres, let us know at the start. Their dimensions, condition and suitability for the proposed wheels need to be checked before they become part of the plan.
Tell us whether the car is primarily used for daily driving, weekend touring or occasional circuit use. That helps us prepare a relevant tyre recommendation.
H&R Lowering Springs: Match the Kit to Your PASM Specification
H&R provides a lowering option that can be considered together with your wheel package. The two listed applications correspond to different factory suspension specifications.
| Factory suspension | Equipment code | Part number | Listed lowering |
|---|---|---|---|
| PASM sports suspension | 1BV | 28628-1 | 20 mm |
| PASM standard suspension | 1BH | 28628-2 | 30 mm |
The correct kit follows the car's factory equipment. These are not interchangeable choices based only on how much lowering you would like.
The supplied application information includes vehicles equipped with the front axle lift system. This describes compatibility with that equipment; the spring kit does not include a lift system.
If lowering is part of your plan, establish it before ordering custom wheels. We can then assess the proposed widths, offsets and tyres with the intended ride height in mind. Installation and alignment requirements should also form part of the proposal.

What About KW?
According to our current supplier information, a dedicated KW application remains in development. We can discuss the latest status if you are considering a future KW setup, but we do not carry over fitment claims from other 992 models.
If your final suspension choice is still undecided, mention this when requesting custom wheels so the proposal reflects the intended direction.
iPE and Akrapovič: Plan the Next Stage
A dedicated exhaust system is a future stage of the 992.2 Turbo S upgrade plan. According to our current supplier information, both iPE and Akrapovič are developing systems for this model.
We are not presenting either system as a released, ready-to-ship product in this guide. Final specifications, application details and availability need to be confirmed before a product recommendation or order.
iPE Exhaust Development
iPE is one of the main exhaust brands we are following for the 992.2 Turbo S. If it is your preferred direction, we can discuss your expectations for sound, everyday use and the scope of the upgrade while awaiting confirmed product details.
The eventual proposal will depend on the released system architecture, including the components supplied, valve-control arrangements and market-specific compatibility. We will assess these details before recommending a configuration.
Akrapovič Exhaust Development
Akrapovič is another development programme we are tracking. A useful comparison with iPE will require confirmed information about the actual 992.2 Turbo S systems.
That comparison should cover system contents, materials, fitment, sound-control features, approval status and price. Claims about weight savings or power gains also need evidence for the specific product and vehicle application.
What Can You Do Before Release?
You can complete the wheel and suspension stage independently and discuss your exhaust preferences with us. There is no need to delay a defined wheel package while waiting for exhaust development.
When enquiring, tell us your vehicle's market specification, registration country and what you want to change about the sound. We can use that information when assessing the eventual options.

The BaanVelgen Porsche 992.2 Turbo S Wheel & Suspension Package
Our first package combines the parts that can be planned together now: a forged wheel set, matched tyres and optional H&R lowering springs.
It is configured for your car and preferences, with a written specification and quotation before ordering.
The Starting Configuration
- Wheel design: BC Forged AF55 or MLE81.
- Wheel direction: 20/21-inch OEM+, with final widths and offsets established for the car.
- Finish: selected to complement the exterior, brake calipers and your preferred style.
- Tyres: a matched front and rear combination for the agreed wheel dimensions and intended use.
- Optional lowering: H&R 28628-1 or 28628-2, selected by the factory PASM equipment code.
- Installation scope: mounting, balancing and any vehicle fitting or alignment work specified separately in the quotation.
Alternative Configurations
Choose the BBS FI-R EVO if you prefer its defined 20/21-inch application, or request an HRE 305 proposal for a different design direction. A custom 21/22-inch package can also be explored with an appropriate tyre combination.
Keeping the original ride height is an option. Lowering is included only when it suits your intended result and the correct spring application has been established.
What Your Proposal Covers
Your quotation should identify the wheel model and construction, front and rear dimensions, finish, tyre specification and any selected suspension parts. It should also make clear which services are included, the total price and the expected supply schedule.
Exhaust components are a separate future stage and are not included in this initial package.
To request your package, mention “992.2 Turbo S Package” in your message and tell us your preferred wheel design, model year and whether you would like lowering springs. If you are unsure about the specification, we will help you choose.
The Recommended Upgrade Sequence
- Define the result. Decide how you want the car to look and how you intend to use it.
- Confirm the vehicle specification. Establish the relevant suspension equipment and any existing modifications.
- Choose the wheel and ride-height direction together. Compare original-size, OEM+ and 21/22-inch options before locking in custom dimensions.
- Finalise the tyres and quotation. Review the complete specification, supply schedule and installation scope.
- Install and check the setup. Complete the required fitting, clearance checks and alignment work.
- Review exhaust options once released. Compare the confirmed iPE and Akrapovič applications against your requirements.
