AKRAPOVIČ SLIP-ON LINE BMW M3 G80/G81 & M4 G82/G83

The Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) for the BMW M3 G80/G81 and BMW M4 G82/G83 is a lightweight, valve-controlled titanium exhaust system developed to improve the sound, performance and appearance of the G8X M3 and M4. It is compatible with both pre-LCI and BMW M3 and M4 LCI models, including the M3 Touring G81, M4 Convertible G83 and xDrive versions.

Made from high-grade titanium, the Akrapovič Slip-On Line replaces the standard rear exhaust section and reduces weight by 8.3 kg, or 35% compared with the factory system. The result is a deeper and more distinctive exhaust note while retaining refinement during normal driving.

Akrapovič exhaust for BMW M3 G80/G81 and M4 G82/G83

The G8X-generation BMW M3 and M4 combine the S58 twin-turbo six-cylinder engine with exceptional performance, but the standard exhaust leaves room for a more engaging sound. Akrapovič developed the Slip-On Line to add a richer tone without introducing unwanted drone.

At lower engine speeds and during cruising, the system remains refined. Under acceleration and at higher rpm, the exhaust develops a deeper and more pronounced character that better matches the performance of the M3 and M4.

A specially developed Akrapovič control kit is included with the system and manages the exhaust valves for the intended Akrapovič sound experience.

Performance and weight reduction

Akrapovič tested the Slip-On Line against the standard exhaust on a BMW M4 Competition. The titanium system produced measurable improvements in both power and torque while substantially reducing exhaust weight.

ECE approved for BMW M3 and M4 LCI

The Akrapovič Slip-On Line is ECE type approved for BMW M3 and M4 models equipped with an OPF/GPF gasoline particulate filter. This includes compatible LCI models, making the system an attractive road-legal upgrade for European G8X owners who want more sound without replacing the complete exhaust system.

The exhaust itself also fits compatible non-OPF vehicles, but the ECE type approval is only valid when installed on vehicles equipped with OPF/GPF.

Important: the exhaust also physically fits the BMW M3 CS, M4 CS and M4 CSL where applicable, but the ECE type-approval certificate is not valid for CS and CSL models.

Can the Akrapovič Evolution Link Pipe be added?

Yes. The Slip-On Line can be combined with optional Akrapovič link pipes and other exhaust components for customers looking for a more extensive exhaust upgrade. However, fitting optional link pipes, downpipes or the Akrapovič Sound Kit changes the approved configuration and means the ECE type approval of the Slip-On Line no longer applies.
