The Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) for the BMW M2 CS G87 is a lightweight, valve-controlled titanium exhaust system developed specifically for the high-performance M2 CS. With ECE type approval for the OPF/GPF-equipped BMW M2 CS, it combines a deeper and more engaging S58 exhaust note with significant weight reduction and measurable performance gains.
Manufactured from high-grade titanium, the system features two exhaust valves, dedicated acoustic reflectors and titanium components cast in Akrapovič's own foundry. The result is an exhaust that remains refined during normal driving but develops a much deeper and sportier character when the M2 CS is driven more dynamically.
Akrapovič exhaust for the BMW M2 CS G87
The BMW M2 CS takes the G87 platform considerably further, and Akrapovič developed the S-BM/T/39H Slip-On Line specifically for this application. The system replaces the factory rear exhaust section while retaining the usability expected from a road-going M2 CS.
Its titanium construction reduces exhaust weight by 7.3 kg, equivalent to a 32.7% weight saving compared with the standard rear exhaust. Two electronically controlled exhaust valves and two acoustic reflectors manage gas flow and sound depending on driving conditions.
At normal cruising speeds, the system produces a smooth and rich tone. Under greater engine load and at higher revs, the valves and acoustic design allow the S58 straight-six to develop a deeper, more purposeful exhaust note.
Performance and weight reduction
Akrapovič tested the Slip-On Line on a BMW M2 CS with the standard factory exhaust as the reference. The titanium system delivered measurable improvements in both power and torque without requiring ECU remapping.

ECE approved for the BMW M2 CS
The Akrapovič Slip-On Line S-BM/T/39H is ECE type approved for the BMW M2 CS G87 when fitted to cars equipped with an Otto/gasoline particulate filter (OPF/GPF) and used in the approved configuration.
This makes the Slip-On Line particularly attractive for European M2 CS owners who want a more distinctive exhaust sound and substantial weight reduction while retaining an ECE-approved exhaust configuration.
No ECU remapping is required when the Slip-On Line is installed in its standard configuration.
How does the Akrapovič M2 CS exhaust sound?
The objective of the Akrapovič system is not simply to make the M2 CS louder. Its dual exhaust valves and acoustic reflectors are designed to give the S58 engine a broader range of sound depending on how the car is being driven.
During normal cruising, the exhaust remains smooth and controlled. As throttle input, engine speed and load increase, the system develops a deeper and sportier straight-six exhaust note that better reflects the performance character of the M2 CS.
The included Akrapovič control kit works together with the valves to deliver the intended sound characteristics throughout the driving range.
High-grade titanium construction
Akrapovič manufactures the Slip-On Line from high-grade titanium to combine low weight, durability and precise exhaust construction. Special components within the system are produced in Akrapovič's own titanium foundry.
The housings for both exhaust valves and the collectors are cast in-house, giving Akrapovič direct control over components that would be difficult to manufacture using conventional exhaust-production methods.
This extensive use of lightweight materials is responsible for the significant 7.3 kg reduction in exhaust weight compared with the factory system.
Which tailpipes are available for the BMW M2 CS?
A compatible Akrapovič Tail Pipe Set (Carbon) is mandatory and must be ordered separately to complete the Slip-On Line.
Three compatible carbon-fibre tailpipe sets are available:
- TP-CT/68 – Carbon tailpipe set
- TP-CT/69 – Octagonal carbon tailpipe set
- TP-CT/73/CF – Chopped carbon-fibre tailpipe set
The octagonal design gives the rear of the M2 CS the distinctive appearance first introduced by Akrapovič on the current-generation BMW M3 and M4, while the more traditional design provides a subtler OEM-inspired look. The chopped-carbon option offers a more contemporary carbon finish.
Please select a compatible tailpipe set when ordering unless you already own one of the compatible Akrapovič tailpipe sets listed above.
Optional link pipes, downpipes and Akrapovič Sound Kit
For customers looking for a more extensive exhaust configuration, Akrapovič also offers optional link pipes, downpipes and the Akrapovič Sound Kit.
These components are intended for applications where additional exhaust sound and performance take priority over the ECE-approved road configuration. Installing these optional components means the ECE type approval of the Slip-On Line is no longer valid.
Optional link pipes and downpipes should therefore be considered separately from the ECE-approved Slip-On configuration and are intended for closed-circuit use where specified by Akrapovič.
Does the Akrapovič Slip-On require an ECU tune?
No. ECU remapping is not required for the Akrapovič S-BM/T/39H Slip-On Line when installed on the BMW M2 CS in its standard configuration.
This makes the Slip-On an effective standalone upgrade for owners looking to improve sound, reduce weight and retain the drivability of the original car without requiring additional engine software.

Is S-BM/T/39H the correct Akrapovič exhaust for the BMW M2 CS?
Yes. S-BM/T/39H is the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) developed for the BMW M2 CS G87. Although visually similar to the Akrapovič system used on the regular G87 M2, the M2 CS has its own Akrapovič product reference and corresponding application and homologation.
If you own a regular BMW M2 G87 rather than the M2 CS, please choose the Akrapovič Slip-On Line specified for the standard M2 application.
