Give your Audi A6 C7 a lower, more purposeful stance without replacing or electronically modifying the factory air suspension system.
The BAAN Airmatic Lowering Links are developed for Audi A6 C7 models equipped with factory air suspension. They allow the ride height to be adjusted mechanically while retaining the comfort, functionality and adjustability of the original Audi suspension.
Adjustable lowering for the Audi A6 C7
The lowering height can be adjusted independently at the front and rear:
- Front axle: adjustable from 0 to approximately 50 mm
- Rear axle: adjustable from 0 to approximately 50 mm
This allows you to reduce the wheel gap, improve the visual balance of the car and fine-tune the stance to suit your preferred wheel and tyre setup.
Lowering without an electronic module
The BAAN system uses fully adjustable mechanical lowering links instead of an electronic lowering module connected to the vehicle’s onboard electronics.
No additional control unit, software or wiring is installed between the Audi suspension controller and the original ride height sensors. The factory air suspension continues to operate using the original Audi controls, suspension modes and height functions.
How the Audi A6 C7 lowering links work
The Audi A6 C7 uses ride height sensors mounted between the chassis and suspension. These sensors communicate the vehicle’s ride height to the air suspension controller through small, non-load-bearing linkages.
The BAAN lowering links replace these original linkages. Adjusting their length changes the information sent by the ride height sensors, allowing the suspension controller to position the vehicle at a lower ride height.
Because the links are fully adjustable, the front and rear height can be fine-tuned instead of being limited to one fixed lowering setting.
Key benefits
- Developed for the Audi A6 C7 with factory air suspension
- Adjustable lowering of up to approximately 50 mm
- Front and rear ride height can be adjusted separately
- Retains the original Audi air suspension system
- No electronic lowering module required
- No additional wiring or software modifications
- Reduces the visual wheel gap
- Allows precise adjustment of the vehicle’s stance
- Reversible installation using the original sensor mounting positions
Installation
Installation normally takes approximately one hour for an experienced workshop. After installation, the lowering links are adjusted until the desired ride height and front-to-rear balance have been achieved.
Professional installation and adjustment are recommended. BaanVelgen can also install and configure the lowering links for you at our workshop.
Frequently asked questions
Will the original Audi air suspension still work?
Yes. The lowering links retain the original air suspension controller, factory driving modes and standard suspension functions.
How much can the Audi A6 C7 be lowered?
The system offers an adjustable lowering range from 0 to approximately 50 mm at both the front and rear axle.
Is an electronic lowering module required?
No. The ride height is adjusted mechanically through the vehicle’s original ride height sensor system.
Can the lowering height be changed later?
Yes. The links remain fully adjustable, allowing the vehicle height and stance to be fine-tuned again after installation.
