BAAN Air Suspension Lowering Links for Audi SQ8 are a model-specific mechanical lowering solution for the Audi SQ8 equipped with factory adaptive air suspension.
A carefully chosen ride height can change the entire side profile of the Audi SQ8. These adjustable BAAN links are designed to reduce the visual height of the SUV while retaining its original selectable suspension functions.
The links are not a fixed-height component. Small changes to the central adjusters allow the stance to be refined after the vehicle has settled, rather than accepting a single predetermined drop.
Creating the correct wheel-to-arch balance
| Usable front range | 0–50 mm lower, approximately |
|---|---|
| Usable rear range | 0–50 mm lower, approximately |
A conservative OEM+ setting normally leaves more suspension travel and ground clearance than the maximum position. Always verify tyre, underbody and sensor-link clearance.
Why use a mechanical sensor-link solution?
At each sensor location, the original fixed linkage is exchanged for an adjustable one. A carefully measured change in length produces a corresponding change in static body position. Reinstalling the factory links restores the original mechanical reference.

Installation, settling and alignment
The links are a direct sensor-link replacement and generally require around 60–90 minutes to install. Record the wheel-centre-to-arch measurements, begin from the supplied baseline and make only small symmetrical adjustments.
The final setup should be checked in the normal road mode and with normal tyre pressures. Reinspect the lock nuts and safety clips after the first period of use.
SQ8 lowering-link FAQ
Is this a fixed lowering kit?
No. The final height can be fine-tuned through the threaded centre adjusters.
Can the car still self-level?
The factory self-levelling system remains in use. The links simply establish a lower mechanical reference position.
Will lowering change the ride?
A modest change generally retains the character of the factory system, but a larger drop reduces available suspension travel and may make the vehicle feel firmer.
Can a workshop install the kit?
Yes. The kit can be installed by a qualified workshop using normal hand tools and the supplied baseline guidance.
Is fitment reversible?
Yes. No permanent change to the suspension electronics is required, and the original links can be refitted.
BaanVelgen supply and support
BaanVelgen supplies the SQ8 kit worldwide and provides fitment support before and after purchase. The product is developed in Rotterdam and precision-manufactured in Taiwan to BaanVelgen specifications.
