BAAN Air Suspension Lowering Links for BMW i7 G70 are a model-specific mechanical lowering solution for the BMW i7 G70 equipped with factory two-axle air suspension.

The BMW i7 G70 can carry a noticeably more resolved stance when the wheel arch gap is reduced with control. BAAN developed this vehicle-specific solution to make the long G70 silhouette sit more purposefully over its wheels while retaining the original height controls.

For the BMW i7 G70, the most convincing result is usually not the lowest possible setting but a measured position that preserves clearance and suspension travel. The adjustable construction supports that approach.

Creating the correct wheel-to-arch balance

Usable front range 0–50 mm lower, approximately
Usable rear range 0–50 mm lower, approximately

A conservative OEM+ setting normally leaves more suspension travel and ground clearance than the maximum position. Always verify tyre, underbody and sensor-link clearance.

Why use a mechanical sensor-link solution?

At each sensor location, the original fixed linkage is exchanged for an adjustable one. A carefully measured change in length produces a corresponding change in static body position. Reinstalling the factory links restores the original mechanical reference.

Vehicle and suspension compatibility

This product is intended for the following application when equipped with factory two-axle air suspension:

  • i7 G70

Suspension specifications can vary by market, model year and optional equipment. Send BaanVelgen the VIN when confirmation is required before ordering.

Complete package

  • Front axle adjustable sensor links
  • Rear axle adjustable sensor links
  • Preassembled connection sockets and safety clips
  • Adjustment and installation information

Installation, settling and alignment

Installation normally takes approximately 60–90 minutes for an experienced technician. Measure the original ride height before starting, adjust both sides in equal increments and secure every locking nut and retaining clip before the vehicle is lowered from the lift.

The final setup should be checked in the normal road mode and with normal tyre pressures. Reinspect the lock nuts and safety clips after the first period of use.

i7 G70 lowering-link FAQ

How much can the vehicle be lowered?

The kit provides an adjustment range from close to the factory position to approximately 50 mm lower at the front and rear. The usable setting depends on clearance, calibration and road conditions.

Are the links suitable for winter use?

The link ends and sockets are made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel. Periodic cleaning and inspection remain advisable after heavy salt exposure.

Do I need an electronic controller?

No. The adjustable links change the sensor reference directly and do not add a controller to the suspension wiring.

Is the adjustment front and rear independent?

Yes. Front and rear settings can be selected separately to achieve the required visual balance.

What should be checked after installation?

Confirm even ride height, sensor-link clearance, retaining-clip engagement, tyre clearance and wheel alignment.
