BAAN AIRMATIC Lowering Links for Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 are a model-specific mechanical lowering solution for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 equipped with factory AIRMATIC air suspension.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 can carry a noticeably more resolved stance when the wheel arch gap is reduced with control. BAAN developed this vehicle-specific solution to achieve an understated OEM+ drop suited to both standard and upgraded wheel configurations.

Product overview

  • Model-specific starting dimensions rather than a universal one-size-fits-all link.
  • Independent axle setup for a balanced front-to-rear stance.
  • Precision-machined construction with critical dimensions checked using 0.001 mm-resolution measuring equipment.
  • Direct sensor-ball fitment with stainless-steel sockets and safety-retaining clips.
  • Mechanical, reversible operation without adding a signal-interception module.

By keeping the modification at the sensor-link level, the BAAN kit remains straightforward to inspect, adjust and reverse. It also avoids the need to splice into the suspension electronics.

Adjusting front and rear ride height

Ride height is continuously adjustable rather than limited to a fixed drop. The normal working range is from close to the original setting to approximately 50 mm lower on the front and rear axles.

The selected stance should be based on real measurements after the air suspension has settled in its normal road mode.

Operating principle

The product works at the point where suspension movement is translated into sensor movement. By recalibrating that relationship mechanically, the E-Class W213 can sit lower while continuing to use its standard suspension interface and self-levelling logic.

What arrives in the box?

You receive a complete model-specific kit for both axles. No separate electronic controller is needed. Reuse of the original sensor balls is part of the direct-fit installation.

Fitment requirements

This product is intended for the following application when equipped with factory AIRMATIC air suspension:

  • E-Class W213

Suspension specifications can vary by market, model year and optional equipment. Send BaanVelgen the VIN when confirmation is required before ordering.

Correct installation procedure

Fitment is mechanically straightforward, but careful measurement is essential. An experienced workshop should allow 60–90 minutes for installation, adjustment and a final inspection of the clips, clearances and sensor-arm movement.

For vehicles with large aftermarket wheels, also check inner tyre clearance at steering lock and under compression before selecting the final height.

Common questions

How much can the vehicle be lowered?

The kit provides an adjustment range from close to the factory position to approximately 50 mm lower at the front and rear. The usable setting depends on clearance, calibration and road conditions.

Are the links suitable for winter use?

The link ends and sockets are made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel. Periodic cleaning and inspection remain advisable after heavy salt exposure.

Do I need an electronic controller?

No. The adjustable links change the sensor reference directly and do not add a controller to the suspension wiring.

Is the adjustment front and rear independent?

Yes. Front and rear settings can be selected separately to achieve the required visual balance.

What should be checked after installation?

Confirm even ride height, sensor-link clearance, retaining-clip engagement, tyre clearance and wheel alignment.
